The opening day of the partner’s meeting began with a detailed update of CSPE work with new and existing organisations. The discussion then turned to the theme of Unsettling and its central function within the peer education process.

The focus of day 2 concerned itself with a review and assessment of the recent HSRC study on HIV prevalence and trends as well as an evaluation of CSPE’s OVC programme (Vhutshilo). The discussion then moved to broader issues taking in the role of parents and care givers within peer education and the advocacy and communication strategies necessary for the profiling of peer education within South Africa.
