Peer Education - How it works
CSPE offers a range of strategic services to help partners develop and improve PE programmes in a variety of settings:
- Advocacy: Examining, proposing, and designing systematic peer education components with decision-makers, administrators, and leadership;
- Situation Analysis: Meetings and workshops to assess the potential, challenges, opportunities, and constraints for effective peer education in a particular context;
- Training and Technical Assistance (T&TA): Training workshops for administrators, trainers, supervisors, and peer educators in the context of a commitment to ongoing TA and a plan for implementation;
- Materials Development: Adaptation and creation of learning activities, training materials, and other tools;
- Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E): Training workshops and tools specifically for M&E applicable to peer education and other prevention activities;
- Research: Design and implementation of research in collaboration with social scientists from South African universities and other research organisations.
