CSPE News
During 2009, CSPE conducted a study into the attitudes and understanding of FET students (both rural and urban) about HIV and the way it is framed through the subcultures within selected Colleges.
During the months of March and April 2010 CSPE trained 225 learners as peer educators and 31Educators as Site Supervisors through World Vision. The learners were expected to go back to their schools and implement 5 pre-designed peer-led lessons between May and June 2010. 200 Learners and 16 Educators came back for the follow-up training in July 2010. This report describes the successes and challenges of this most recent training.
The opening day of the partner’s meeting began with a detailed update of CSPE work with new and existing organisations. The discussion then turned to the theme of Unsettling and its central function within the peer education process.
